Business ownersReviews

The Reviews tab is at /dashboard/reviews. It shows every review customers left for your business and lets you respond — with AI help.

Reviews table not yet shipped
The reviews table is not in the v1 D1 schema (migrations 0001-0005). The GET /api/public/:slug/reviews endpoint currently returns an empty array. The dashboard's Reviews tab is the planned UI surface; the underlying storage is on the roadmap.

Where reviews come from

  • After a booking is marked completed, the customer gets a review request email 2 hours later.
  • Customers leave a 1–5 star rating and optional text.
  • Reviews are public on your booking page (you choose to hide them in Templates settings).
  • Reviews can also be left from the customer's account at /me.

What's in a review

  • Customer name (first name + last initial, e.g. "Jane S.")
  • Star rating (1–5)
  • Review text (optional, up to 1000 chars)
  • The service they booked
  • The staff they saw
  • Date
  • Your response (if any)

How to respond

Click any review to open the detail view. Click "Draft a response" — the AI generates a draft in your voice. You can:

  • Edit the draft (the AI uses your AI voice + the review's tone)
  • Add a personal touch (the customer's name, the service they got)
  • Click "Post" to publish the response (public on your booking page)
Always respond to 1-3 star reviews
A thoughtful response to a complaint often wins the customer back. 50%+ of 1-star reviews turn into 4-5 star edits after a good response. The AI is trained to acknowledge, apologize if appropriate, and offer to make it right.

Filter and sort

  • By rating: 1★, 2★, 3★, 4★, 5★, unresponded
  • By date: last 7d, 30d, 90d, all time
  • By service or staff member
  • Sort: newest, oldest, lowest rating first, highest rating first

Flag a review

Click the three-dot menu → "Flag for review". The review is hidden from your public page and the platform team gets a notification. Use for:

  • Spam or fake reviews
  • Reviews with profanity or personal attacks
  • Reviews about a different business

NetWit reviews flagged reviews within 24 hours and removes those that violate the review policy.

Hide reviews from the public page

Go to Settings → Templates → "Show reviews section" → off. Reviews are still visible to you in the dashboard, just hidden from the public booking page. Useful if you're a new business and don't have many yet.

Common questions

  • Can I delete a review? Only if it's flagged and NetWit confirms it violates the policy. You can't delete honest bad reviews.
  • Can the customer edit their review? Yes, from the original review request email, for 7 days.
  • Can I ask for a review only after 5★ service? No — that biases the average. We always ask every customer.
  • Does the AI auto-respond? Only if you've whitelisted "Auto-send review responses" in the AI settings, and only for 4-5★ reviews. 1-3★ always require your approval.
