BookFlow uses Stripe for payment processing — the same provider used by Amazon, Shopify, and Lyft. Your card details never touch BookFlow's servers; they go straight to Stripe.

Deposits

Some businesses require a deposit to hold your slot. The deposit:

  • Is a fraction of the service price (often 20–50%)
  • Goes toward the final bill (you pay the rest at the appointment)
  • Is refundable per the business's cancellation policy
  • Is shown clearly before you confirm the booking
No deposit? No problem
If the business doesn't require a deposit, you'll just see a green "Confirm" button at the end of the booking flow. Nothing to pay until you arrive.

What cards we accept

  • Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover
  • Apple Pay, Google Pay (on supported devices)
  • Most debit cards with a Visa/Mastercard logo
  • Link by Stripe (one-click checkout after first use)

How payment works

When you confirm a booking that requires a deposit:

  • We create a Stripe Payment Intent for the deposit amount.
  • Stripe shows you a secure card form. You enter your card details there, not on BookFlow.
  • Stripe confirms the payment and tells us. The booking flips to confirmed.
  • Your card statement will show the business's name, not BookFlow.

At the appointment

You'll pay the remaining balance directly to the business — usually at the front desk. The business can take cash, card, or any other payment method they accept. BookFlow doesn't take a cut of the in-person payment; it's just the deposit that's processed online.

Refunds

If you cancel inside the free-cancellation window (usually 24 hours before), your deposit is refunded automatically to the same card within 5–10 business days. If the business cancels, your deposit is refunded immediately.

If you're outside the free-cancellation window, the business decides whether to refund the deposit. They can do it from their dashboard with one click — contact them directly.

Charges you don't recognize

Every BookFlow charge appears with the business's name and a 9-character booking code prefixed with BF- (e.g. DEMO SALON #BF-A4F2X9). If you see a charge you don't recognize:

  • Check your /me page for the matching booking
  • If it's not there, it's not from a BookFlow business — it may be from a different service using a similar name
  • If you still can't place it, contact hello@netwit.ca with the charge amount and date

Saved cards

BookFlow doesn't store your card. Stripe remembers it (encrypted on their side). When you book again, Stripe's "Link" feature can pre-fill your card for one-click checkout.

Receipts

You'll get a payment receipt by email the moment your card is charged. It includes the business's name, the deposit amount, and a Stripe receipt URL.
